Dr. Chuyun Zhang

Meet Dr. Zhang, better known as C.Y.! Dr. Zhang developed a love of animals at a young age and started volunteering in different animal shelters and wildlife conservation organizations when she was 16 years old. C.Y. studied biology at the University of Prince Edward Island and pursued her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Atlantic Veterinary College in P.E.I. Not only did she make the Dean’s list during her studies, but she also was the recipient of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons Award! Dr. Zhang’s clinical interests include soft tissue surgery, anesthesia, dermatology, cardiology, shelter medicine and traditional Chinese veterinary medicine. She is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, snowboarding, reading, and painting. She is also an adventurous person who loves scuba diving, paragliding, and travelling. She has many pets at home, including two dogs (Bubu and Bonbon), two cats (Blueblue and B2B), and a crested gecko (Little Anise). C.Y. keeps the team laughing and puts patient care above all!
