Maintaining your pet’s hygiene can really improve their quality of life. Pets who are groomed regularly are happier as they have more comfort to keep up with their lifestyle. If grooming is neglected in your pet they may develop matting of the fur, overgrown teeth or nails which can be painful and could prevent them from walking properly.

What does grooming include?

At our hospitals we offer the following grooming services to cats, dogs, rabbits and pocket pets:

• Teeth trimming
• Nail trimming
• Tooth brushing
• Ear cleaning

These services are performed by our registered veterinary technicians. We also offer grooming products like toothbrushes, toothpastes, and ear cleaners that can help your pet maintain good hygiene.

How often should my pet be groomed?

We recommend dogs be groomed every 6 to 8 weeks after they have turned 3-months-old. Even though cats clean themselves, it is a good idea to have them professionally groomed every 3 months. Some pocket pets may need teeth trimming as often as once a month to prevent overgrowth. We encourage you to speak with your veterinarian to find out their grooming recommendations for your pet.
